Roundup for 7-18-07

John Barrowman of Torchwood is clearly on a press tour - lots of articles. This interview is actually really good if you are interested.

This one makes me glad for bittorrent. It confirms that the nearly hour long episodes will air at 48 minutes each on BBC America.

John Leguizamo has been cast along with Mark Wahlberg in the next M. Night Shyamalan movie coming out next summer.

CBS highlights from the Press Tour:
* There'll be more clues about the mother on HIMYM.
* Little Jake will enter junior high on Two and a Half Men. (Duh!)
* On Ghost Whisperer, we'll learn Jim and Melinda didn't choose Grandview, Grandview chose Jim and Melinda.
* CSI/Without a Trace crossover coming with William Peterson and Anthony La Paglia.
* Spoiler
Scoop! The season premiere of Jericho opens with Stanley and Mimi getting engaged. (That means he survived the finale!)

Start dates for the CBS shows I might watch:
9-24 8:00 How I Met Your Mother
8:30 Big Bang Theory (new - I'm not sure if I'll watch or not)
9:00 2.5 Men
9:30 Rules of Engagement (may watch, not sure)
9-26 10:00 CSI: New York
9-27 9:00 CSI
9-28 8:00 Ghost Whisperer
9:00 Moonlight (vampire detective - worth at least a pilot)
10:00 Numb3rs

New cast members announced for House. (Warning: this contains spoilers for the season finale I haven't seen yet. Not mentioned here, but I've heard rumors that these are additions, and
possibly short term ones at that, not replacements for current cast members.)

Strange article: CBS just won a bidding war on a show set in the middle ages called "The Kingdom" described as a medieval "Entourage". I just don't see this working on network television, and I can't imagine why networks would fight over it.

Masi Oka give some minor spoilers for the start of season 2 Heroes.

More about the new show Chuck from the guy who plays him. This really sounds like a clone of Jake 2.0.

As we know, it rained on the Peninsula this morning. Apparently it has also now rained enough in SF to be the first rain on July 18th in recorded history, leaving only 2 days left in July that have no record of rain since the Gold Rush. Fun statistics at:

Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck on BSG) will be a recurring character on Bionic Woman (not just in the pilot).
