Supernatural season 2 comes to dvd 9-11. Extras are listed here:
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) will be in Masterpiece Theater next season in a play called "My Boy Jack" about Rudyard Kipling's search for his son in World War 1.
Charles Lane, who died this week at the age of 102, probably originated the "oh him" term for character actors. I know I've seen at least a dozen of the roles listed for him, but I never connected them or knew his name. For two decades it looks like most of his roles were uncredited by the studios, so it is not surprising we didn't know him even though he acted in approximately 300 roles over 70 years, from You Can't Take it With You to the Dark Shadows revival.
The actors for Battlestar Galactica who were revealed as Cylons at the end of the season apparently weren't happy about it at all.
Apparently there's been some fan backlash to the changes at Atlantis, and producers are trying to calm people with some statements and minor spoilers.
Google maps is adding more features this week. Some of it sounds cool.
Meredith's half sister Lexie will be a full cast member next season on Grey's Anatomy.
Some great political commentary: he compares the Bush government to the Augean stables, among other apt descriptions of the current disgrace.
Researchers think they've found a way to stop antibiotic-resistant bacteria by disrupting an enzyme.
And just to add some really weird news to my weird news roundup, a man recently robbed a bank dressed as a tree. Puns abound: the first sentence is "Leaf it to New Hampshire" but they missed the opportunity to say that he robbed the bank branch while wearing actual branches.
